Role Overview

We are seeking an Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys client-facing consultations, has a passion for a particular aspect of veterinary nursing, or wishes to develop further in surgical and in-house procedures.

Working Hours:

• Up to 40 hours per week, rota-based
• Includes 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00–14:00)
• Consultations are 20 minutes with allocated catch-up blocks

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Paisley Vets for Pets, you will:

• Provide high-quality clinical care to small animals, including feline and rabbit patients
• Assist in consultations, surgeries, and in-house procedures
• Monitor patient recovery and administer medications and treatments safely
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing advice and education
• Maintain accurate medical records in line with RCVS guidance
• Support colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive working environment
• Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and training opportunities

Requirements

Essential:

• Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational and planning abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

• Interest in feline, rabbit, or surgical nursing specialties
• Experience with in-house surgical procedures and diagnostics
• Training & Development:
• CPD allowance supported and encouraged
