University Health Physicians (UHP), the academic faculty practice of the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine, invites applications for a General Internal Medicine physician to join our Ambulatory Primary Care team. About the Academic & Clinical Environment

UHP serves as the primary physician group for University Health Truman Medical Center, Kansas City’s essential hospital and safety-net healthcare system. As a 547-bed, not-for-profit academic medical center, University Health plays a vital role in advancing public health, clinical education, and community well-being.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Your Role

As a faculty physician in the Section of General Internal Medicine, you will:

  • Provide outpatient primary care in an academic ambulatory setting
  • Teach and mentor internal medicine residents and medical students
  • Contribute to an active academic division through education and service
  • Practice within a mission-driven environment focused on equity, access, and continuity of care
  • This position is ideal for physicians who value both clinical excellence and academic engagement.

Qualifications

  • Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
  • Interest in teaching and working with diverse patient populations
  • Eligibility for U.S. physician employment and visa sponsorship
