About the Role
We’re looking for a committed and people-focused Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in the daily leadership of Heathfield Lodge. In this role, you’ll help ensure the service runs safely, smoothly, and to a high standard—placing dignity, independence, and person‑centred care at the heart of everything you do.
You’ll work closely with colleagues, the people we support, and external professionals to maintain regulatory compliance while building a positive, motivated team culture. This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions will directly shape quality of care, staff development, and outcomes for individuals with complex needs.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support the Home Manager withe operational day‑to‑day running of the service
- Promote high standards of care, safety, and wellbeing across the home
- Lead, coach, and develop staff to deliver consistent, person‑centred support
- Oversee quality assurance processes and internal audits
- Manage rotas, staffing levels, and commissioned h thours effectively
- Maintain accurate care documentation and digital records
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and RISCA requirements
- Act as a positive role model, reinforcing organisational values and best practice
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
- Proven leadership or senior support experience within a care setting
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Working knowledge of social care regulations and quality frameworks
- Confidence using IT systems and care management software
Desirable Experience
- Rota management and workforce planning experience
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches
- Full UK driving licence or reliable access to transport
