About the Opportunity
The University of Vermont Health – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) is seeking a compassionate and skilled General Urologist to join its well-established practice. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative, dynamic environment fully integrated with the University of Vermont Division of Urology.
CVPH is a 300-bed community hospital with nine operating rooms, including a DaVinci surgical robot, and a dedicated Ambulatory Surgery Center. The hospital serves northern New York and Vermont, is part of a six-hospital network, and is a certified Level III trauma center, working closely with the UVM Medical Center Level I trauma center just an hour away.
Plattsburgh offers a family-friendly, scenic setting on the shores of Lake Champlain, with easy access to the Adirondack Mountains, outdoor recreation, and nearby Montreal.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive urologic care to inpatients and outpatients.
- Participate in call coverage for CVPH, including inpatient and emergency department consultations (call schedule: 1:4, negotiable).
- Collaborate with three other urologists and a nurse practitioner, with potential to expand APP support.
- Utilize advanced technology, including DaVinci robotic surgery, for surgical procedures.
- Engage with the UVMMC urology team for multidisciplinary collaboration, tumor board presentations, and continuing education.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $475,000 + RVUs, total compensation approximately $492,000.

Qualifications
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Urology.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New York.
- Strong commitment to patient-centred care and collaborative practice.
- Experience with robotic-assisted urologic surgery preferred but not required.
