Overview of the Role

The University of Vermont Health Network – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) is seeking a General Urologist to join a well-established and highly collaborative practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who values teamwork, advanced technology, and a strong connection to an academic medical center.

As part of the UVM Health Network, CVPH works closely with the University of Vermont Medical Center (Level I Trauma Center), offering full clinical integration, shared resources, and academic support. CVPH itself is a 300-bed community hospital, Level III trauma center, and home to nine operating rooms, an Ambulatory Surgery Center, and a DaVinci surgical robot.

What You’ll Do

This position focuses on providing comprehensive general urology care for both outpatient and inpatient populations. Your responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality urologic care in clinic and OR settings
  • Participating in call coverage for CVPH’s inpatient and emergency department patients
  • Collaborating with a strong, collegial team of urologists and an experienced nurse practitioner
  • Partnering with UVM Medical Center colleagues for case discussions, tumor boards, and academic activities

Position Structure & Compensation

  • Base Compensation: $475,000
  • Total Compensation with RVUs: $492,000
  • Sign-On Bonus Available
  • Full-Time Position
  • 1:4 Call Rotation (negotiable)
  • DaVinci robotic system available for those who incorporate robotics into their clinical practice
  • The practice is actively expanding advanced practice provider (APP) support as volume grows.

Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates should be:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
  • Eligible for New York medical licensure
  • Passionate about patient-centered, evidence-based care
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced but supportive environment
