About the Role
Henley Business School invites applications for an Associate Professor in International Business and Strategy. This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for an emerging academic leader with a strong research record, innovative teaching practice, and a collaborative approach.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s most respected business schools, advancing cutting-edge scholarship, mentoring colleagues, and supporting the department’s international research profile, particularly through the Dunning Centre for International Business—a globally recognised hub for research in international business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Research
- Lead and conduct high-quality research in international business and strategy.
- Publish in leading academic journals and build a growing international reputation.
- Develop a research agenda that complements the Dunning Centre and Department priorities.
- Secure external funding to support research activities.
Teaching & Mentorship
- Deliver engaging teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive levels.
- Supervise research students and provide mentorship to early career academics.
- Contribute to curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and enhancement of the student experience.
Leadership & Academic Service
- Provide leadership within the department and support strategic planning.
- Contribute to academic citizenship, including committees, student support, and outreach initiatives.
- Represent the School in external academic networks and conferences.
Person Specification
Applicants should demonstrate:
- A PhD in Management, International Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Evidence of a strong and sustained record of high-quality research.
- Experience in teaching and leadership at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Proven ability to secure research funding and manage projects.
- A collegial approach and commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion.
