Job Description

Summary

Dowty, part of GE Aerospace, is seeking a Product Manager – OE Programmes to lead the execution and lifecycle management of original equipment (OE) propeller system programmes. Based at our advanced manufacturing facility in Brockworth, you will manage customer relationships, oversee programme performance, and drive business objectives across cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership

  • Lead and manage assigned OE programmes, including full P&L accountability.
  • Ensure delivery to contractual, financial, and schedule commitments.
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external programme reviews, IPTs, and PMRs.
  • Manage and maintain customer relationships, ensuring contractual compliance and satisfaction.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Deliver against budget and sales forecasts, maintaining accuracy through regular business reviews.
  • Support the S&OP process to align demand and capacity planning.
  • Manage product pricing and develop margin and growth improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee bids and proposals for assigned programmes.

Product & Lifecycle Management

  • Manage the lifecycle of OE products, ensuring continuous improvement through the Tollgate process.
  • Implement product changes for obsolescence management, reliability enhancement, cost reduction, or customer-driven modifications.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues impacting customer satisfaction, safety, quality, or delivery performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and enhance customer satisfaction metrics (OTD, quality scorecards).
  • Manage risks and opportunities, contributing to monthly performance reviews and MOR metrics.
  • Participate in Kaizen and other process improvement activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience leading programme or product management activities within the aviation or aerospace industry.
  • Strong project management skills, including scope, schedule, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
  • Demonstrates GE Leadership Behaviours.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10%).
