About the Role
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Sisters/Charge Nurses to join our award-winning Emergency Department team.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced emergency nurses who are passionate about clinical excellence, dynamic leadership, and patient-centred care.
As a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in:
- Coordinating daily operations within the Emergency Department.
- Supporting and leading the nursing team to deliver high standards of care.
- Promoting a supportive, proactive, and learning-focused environment.
- Contributing to service improvement, staff development, recruitment, and retention.
- Participating in training, appraisals, and educational initiatives.
- This role offers a fast-paced, varied, and rewarding working environment, caring for patients with a wide range of emergency needs.
Your professional development will be supported through close guidance from the Lead Nursing Team, with opportunities to grow your leadership and clinical skills.

About You
You are a Registered Nurse (NMC registered) with experience in emergency or acute care settings and a passion for leadership and professional development.
You will demonstrate:
- Strong clinical and organisational skills.
- The ability to lead and motivate teams effectively under pressure.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, staff education, and patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
