About the Role
The Bartlett School of Architecture is seeking an experienced Lecturer (Teaching) Manager to lead the School’s 3D Printing (B-made) facility.
This is a key leadership role with both strategic and operational responsibilities. The postholder will oversee the day-to-day management of the 3D Printing lab, ensuring high-quality support for teaching, research, and innovation. They will foster collaboration across the School and wider UCL community, advancing education and practice in additive manufacturing and digital fabrication.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing academic leadership in 3D printing and additive manufacturing education.
- Managing the facility’s staff, resources, and operations.
- Supporting teaching activities and student projects, ensuring excellent user experience.
- Leading strategic development of the 3D printing facility to enhance innovation and sustainability.
- Promoting collaboration between students, researchers, and staff across The Bartlett and UCL.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in managing or teaching within a digital fabrication or 3D printing environment.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage staff and resources effectively.
- A commitment to supporting and enhancing the student learning experience.
- Proven ability to collaborate across academic and technical teams.
- A forward-thinking approach to the integration of additive manufacturing technologies in architectural education.
The postholder will play a crucial role in shaping the School’s approach to fabrication, fostering innovation, and embedding sustainability in 3D printing practices.
