Job Description
Shaping the Future – Supporting Our Farming Community
At Seafield Vets, we are proud to serve the rural farming community of Moray. Working closely with pedigree beef and sheep farmers, we provide dedicated, high-quality care at the moments they need us most.
As part of our Farm24 team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering round-the-clock support for our clients — ensuring seamless and sustainable 24-hour cover across our farming and equine sectors.
A Role with Variety and Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to focus on farm and equine emergencies while maintaining an exceptional work-life balance.
Our innovative rota allows daytime vets to concentrate on routine and preventative work, while our Out of Hours vets manage emergency care during evenings and weekends.
The caseload is dynamic and varied, featuring a high proportion of surgical obstetrics, making this a perfect role for a surgically minded vet. You’ll need to feel confident managing emergencies independently and building lasting relationships with local farmers and practice teams.
You can attend emergencies from home (if based locally) or stay in our comfortable on-site accommodation during your working week.
Your Work-Life Balance Matters
We believe great care starts with a healthy, happy team.
Our 1 week on / 3 weeks off rota gives you the freedom to recharge and enjoy life outside of work:
1 week on, 3 weeks off – meaning 3 free weeks out of every 4
On-call hours: 6pm–8am Monday–Thursday and 6pm Friday–8am Monday
Option to discuss 1 week on / 1 week off pattern (salary adjusted accordingly)
This setup gives you time to explore the beautiful Moray region — from the North Coast 500 and Cairngorms National Park to canoeing on the River Spey or simply relaxing in nature.
What We Offer
Salary up to £31,000 DOE (based on 1 week on / 3 weeks off rota)
Up to £7,500 relocation allowance
Vehicle and accommodation provided
Visa sponsorship available
Comfortable on-site accommodation during working weeks
Standard IVC Evidensia benefits, including paid holiday during off weeks
Life in Moray
Keith, in northeast Scotland, offers the perfect blend of rural beauty and community spirit.
From whisky trails to wildlife watching, you’ll find plenty to explore between shifts — all set within a welcoming and vibrant farming region.
