About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a thriving Humanities Department at a well-regarded secondary school in Basingstoke. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026.
As part of a forward-thinking team, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring Geography lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for the subject. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, contributing to both academic success and the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum (KS3–KS4).
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons to support pupil progress and attainment.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that inspires learning.
Support students’ academic and personal development, promoting high expectations for all.
Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and whole-school initiatives.
Engage in CPD and training opportunities to enhance professional practice.
Person Specification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
A strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography and the wider world.
Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
A commitment to inclusive education and fostering student engagement.
Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available for suitable candidates).
