GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to join the Electrical Power Contracts team, supporting the full contract lifecycle for the Defense & Systems business. This role provides the opportunity to work across government and commercial contracting environments, managing contracts from inception through closeout, and fostering critical product line partnerships.
As a key member of the Defense & Systems Contracts Team, you will act as the primary contact for government, airframer, and commercial procurement customers. You will drive contracting actions across all phases of programs, including proposal strategy, solution development, production, sustainment, and contract closeout. This role requires expertise in customer relationships, regulatory compliance, contract terms, price and profit negotiation, risk analysis, and scope management, collaborating with multiple business functions to balance customer expectations and business objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support various contracts including fixed price, cost reimbursement, prime, sub-level, Part 12/15, and production contracts.
Collaborate across functions to assess and disposition FAR and DFAR requirements, and commercial terms and conditions for solicitations and contracts.
Manage the contract lifecycle for multiple programs, including solicitation assessment, proposal strategy and compilation, audit and negotiation, contract operation, change management, customer relationship maintenance, claims and dispute administration, and contract closeout.
Ensure compliance, quality, and timely execution.
Participate in special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
Strong experience in government, commercial, or international contract formation and execution.
Experience with administration of commercial terms and conditions.
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Advocate for continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision when appropriate.
Willingness to travel periodically.
Desired Characteristics
Project management and leadership skills.
Knowledge of US Federal Acquisition Regulations, especially Parts 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and 15 (Contracting by Negotiation) and DoD Supplement.
Familiarity with GE Flight Deck fundamentals (for internal employees).
