Job Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager to lead Obsolescence Projects and OE Programmes at our Gloucester site. In this role, you will resolve critical obsolescence challenges, manage the lifecycle of OE products, and contribute to the achievement of strategic business objectives. You will lead cross-functional teams, define project objectives, implement detailed project plans, and apply robust project management practices to ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and quality targets. You will also work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues and achieve financial and contractual objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects of varying size and complexity.
Provide programme leadership with full P&L accountability for assigned programmes.
Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure contractual compliance.
Support Lean initiatives and Kaizen activities across the site.
Additional Responsibilities:
Manage product changes for obsolescence resolution, reliability improvements, cost reduction, or customer requests.
Oversee product lifecycle management via the Tollgate process.
Define project scope, implement change control, maintain risk/opportunity registers, and execute mitigation plans.
Maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts.
Organize and lead project reviews, ensuring robust financial, commercial, and project governance.
Implement and monitor metrics to track project progress.
Lead programme and contract reviews, including IPTs and PMRs with internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor and drive improvements in customer satisfaction through OTD and quality metrics.
Deliver on budget, maintain accurate sales forecasts, and manage OE demand via S&OP processes.
Set pricing strategies and drive initiatives to improve growth and margins.
Manage bids and proposals for assigned programmes.
Identify, escalate, and resolve issues affecting customer satisfaction, safety, quality, or delivery.
Contribute to monthly reviews and continuous improvement of OE programme metrics.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Proven experience leading programme/product activities in a matrixed aviation environment.
Strong project management skills: scope, resource, and schedule management.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently with strong drive and commitment.
Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet timelines, quality, and cost targets.
Strong problem-solving and numeracy skills.
Demonstrates GE leadership behaviours.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.
