This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated teaching team. The School teaches around 800 undergraduate and 250 postgraduate students annually, supported by a skilled and friendly technical team based in our central London campus.
About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician (Teaching Support), you will contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy education within the MPharm and related programmes. You will play a key role in supporting teaching and assessment, maintaining laboratory spaces, and preparing practical sessions.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting and maintaining teaching laboratories, facilities, and equipment.
Preparing and setting up materials for classes within UCL and at external teaching sites.
Assisting in the delivery of practical and simulated learning sessions.
Ensuring safe and effective operation of teaching spaces in line with regulations.
Providing technical support to academic and professional staff during sessions.
The post offers the opportunity to blend professional pharmacy expertise with hands-on educational work, helping create high-quality, interactive learning experiences for students.
Flexible and part-time working arrangements will be considered where possible.
About You
You must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Essential experience and skills include:
Strong background in dispensing, pharmaceutical calculations, aseptic techniques, compounding, and medicine handling.
Experience supporting pharmacy education or clinical training.
Familiarity with educational technologies such as dispensing software, simulation platforms, and virtual patient tools.
Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and contribute proactively to the teaching team.
