About the Role
The University of Sussex Admissions Office needs a Senior Admissions Coordinator. This person will help manage postgraduate admissions in an efficient, fair, and professional way.
You would be one of three Senior Postgraduate Admissions Coordinators. You will make sure the admissions process runs smoothly. That covers everything from the initial application all the way to enrolment. It involves assessing applications. You check decisions too. And you give expert guidance to Admissions Coordinators and Academic Reviewers.
You will lead certain parts of the admissions cycle. You help with day-to-day operations. Plus, you support staff so applicants get a great experience. This starts from their first enquiry and goes until they arrive on campus.
The Admissions Office feels dynamic and friendly. Around 40 staff work there. They handle Undergraduate Admissions, Postgraduate Admissions, and Scholarships. All under the Associate Director of Global Admissions.
About You
You are an experienced administrator. You stay organized. You have strong interpersonal skills. And you commit to outstanding customer service. Ideally, you will have proven experience in postgraduate admissions. Preferably in higher education.
You need excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational ability helps. You manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
A collaborative attitude matters. You work effectively on your own or in a team.
You should know UK, EU, and international qualifications. Understand UKVI and Student Visa requirements too.
Experience with applicants from diverse international backgrounds is key. That includes those whose first language is not English.
Desirable knowledge of fee status classification and assessment.
A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach is essential. You work in a fast-paced environment. Accuracy and efficiency count a lot.
About the Division
