About the Role

Skills Provision is recruiting a qualified Vehicle Mechanic to join a specialist automotive repair and maintenance company based in Essex, UK.
The company focuses on premium vehicle brands including Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, and Porsche.

As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs to high standards, ensuring excellent workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle faults

Perform scheduled maintenance and service work

Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used

Conduct system and component testing to ensure correct function

Carry out general vehicle maintenance such as oil and tyre changes

Deliver high-quality customer service at all times

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (45 hours per week)

Breaks:

1-hour lunch break

Two 15-minute breaks (morning and afternoon)

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar automotive role

Formal automotive qualification (preferred but not essential)

Previous dealership experience is desirable

Strong understanding of petrol and diesel engines

Confident in engine rebuilding, head gasket replacements, and timing chain work

Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems is an advantage

Experience working with premium brands (Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes, BMW, VW/Audi, Porsche)

Valid UK or international driving licence (conversion support available if needed)

Positive, professional, and self-motivated attitude

If applying from outside the UK, must meet Skilled Worker Visa requirements (e.g., IELTS English test)
