Job Description

The Role

Henley Business School is looking to appoint a Programme Director to lead the Level 6 Digital & Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship. This role is central to the School’s growing portfolio of apprenticeship programmes and offers the opportunity to shape an innovative and strategic area of development.

You will provide academic leadership, oversee programme delivery, and ensure high-quality teaching and learning that align with the Apprenticeship Standard and Ofsted requirements. Working with module conveners, learning coaches, and apprenticeship tutors, you will ensure the programme is cohesive, rigorous, and impactful.

Alongside programme leadership, you will teach on modules, supervise projects, provide academic support, and engage in scholarship that keeps your teaching current and relevant to industry, policy, and academic debate.

Key Responsibilities

Provide academic leadership and strategic oversight of the programme.

Design and deliver high-quality learning opportunities for apprentices.

Coordinate and integrate contributions from teaching staff, learning coaches, and tutors.

Teach, convene, and assess modules within the programme.

Supervise projects and provide academic tutoring.

Undertake scholarship that informs teaching and contributes to practice, policy, and/or publications.

About You

You will have:

A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or a related discipline.

Teaching experience in higher education.

Strong subject knowledge in areas such as computer science, software engineering, information systems, or data analytics.

A commitment to high-quality teaching, collaborative working, and continuous improvement of programmes.

This is a teaching-intensive post offered initially for three years.
