Job Description

About the Role

This structured internship is ideal for recent graduates or vets with some general practice experience. Over 12 months, interns will rotate through:

Internal Medicine & Cardiology

Surgery

Emergency & Critical Care

Elective rotations (optional, depending on interests)

You’ll gain extensive clinical exposure, develop decision-making skills, and work closely with senior clinicians and specialists across a diverse caseload.

Key Responsibilities

As an intern, you will:

Actively participate in all rotations with guidance from specialists.

Carry out examinations, assist with diagnoses, and contribute to treatment planning.

Support and assist in surgeries, procedures, and emergency cases.

Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.

Take part in teaching opportunities, including seminars, journal clubs, workshops, and research projects.

Requirements

To apply, you must have:

A veterinary degree recognised by the RCVS.

RCVS registration (or eligibility to register).

The right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available for overseas applicants).

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to learning.
