About the role

The School of Computing Science is seeking a Research Assistant/Associate to join the Digital Resilience for Critical National Infrastructure project, working with Professor Dimitrios Pezaros. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research ensuring the resilient operation of industrial networks that support critical national infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

Design and develop novel algorithms, software, and systems to support digital resilience.

Contribute to research publications and grant proposals.

Support project management and coordination of research activities.

Co-supervise PhD students and early career researchers.

Assist in organizing events and coordinating research spaces.

Requirements:

For Research Assistant: a degree in Computing Science or a related discipline.

For Research Associate: a PhD (or close to completion) in Computing Science or a related field.

Research experience relevant to computer networks, resilience, or critical infrastructure systems.

Strong software development and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
