About the role

The University of Sussex Business School is seeking a Senior Institute Manager to lead the development and delivery of the newly established Bennett Institute for Innovation and Policy Acceleration. This is a pivotal role in shaping the Institute’s early growth, ensuring that its operations, strategy, and impact are implemented swiftly and effectively.

You will be responsible for:

Overseeing day-to-day operations of the Institute.

Managing the work programme, including reporting, communications, and stakeholder engagement.

Supporting the development of externally funded research activities.

Working closely with the Institute Director and Bennett Professorial Research Chairs to realize the Institute’s strategic vision.

This position offers the opportunity to play a central role in establishing a world-leading centre of research excellence with national and international impact.

You will be:

Highly organized, with strong management and coordination skills.

Comfortable balancing operational responsibilities with strategic input.
