Role Overview
Ark All Saints Academy is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) on a two-year fixed-term contract. The LSA will provide support for the education and personal care of students with additional needs, enabling them to access the school curriculum and participate fully in school life.
You will work closely with teachers, SENCo, Heads of Department, and other professionals to ensure individual students’ needs are met. You will also support the delivery of specialist care, following guidance from medical professionals where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students, including those with physical, learning, and behavioral difficulties.
Assist in the development and delivery of SEN provision across the school.
Work with teachers to assess the needs of individual students and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Support students with SEN, English as a second language, speech or language impairments, visual impairments, or behaviors affecting learning.
Plan and facilitate small group and one-to-one teaching.
Observe, record, and report on student progress and performance.
Assist in creating educational materials and resources for curriculum delivery.
Support medical care and intimate care needs as required by students’ care plans.
