Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Compliance Specialist to strengthen SOAS’s cyber security posture through effective governance and compliance initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of IT Governance and Business Partnering, you will work closely with operational and change management teams across the University, serving as a subject matter expert on cyber security compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:

Analysing cyber security risks and developing mitigation plans.

Designing and implementing effective security measures.

Monitoring systems to detect vulnerabilities or potential breaches.

Responding to and managing security incidents.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory and institutional security requirements.

This is a vital role in ensuring the resilience and integrity of SOAS’s digital infrastructure.

About the Directorate

The Information & Technology Directorate delivers core IT services to support SOAS’s teaching, research, administration, and commercial activity. Central to its mission is robust cyber security governance, ensuring that:
