About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Dowty’s Sourcing team and play a key role in ensuring the business meets its delivery commitments. Reporting to the Senior Material Delivery Leader, you will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage the orderbook, improve supplier performance, and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
You will be responsible for monitoring supplier delivery performance, reducing arrears, expediting critical materials, and supporting recovery actions with underperforming suppliers. This role will allow you to directly influence Dowty’s ability to deliver high-quality aerospace products on time.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and report on supplier delivery performance, managing both early deliveries and arrears.
Work with suppliers to expedite critical goods and services that impact on-time delivery to Dowty and its customers.
Represent Dowty at all levels within supplier organizations to drive performance and orderbook accuracy.
Identify risks affecting supplier delivery and develop early intervention action plans.
Create and oversee recovery plans with suppliers when performance issues arise.
Ensure supplier compliance with LTA/contract delivery requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support supplier performance management.
Desired Characteristics
Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally aerospace.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing planning, processes, and systems.
Proven analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must hold a UK driving licence.
