About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Product Support Engineer to join our Product Support Engineering team. In this role, you will support the in-service performance of Power Distribution products used in the global military sector.
You will take ownership of technical issues, investigate failures, and drive improvements to ensure our products maintain excellent performance. This is a customer-facing role that requires a proactive problem-solver, comfortable working independently or within a team, with a willingness to take on new challenges and grow responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct reliability trend analysis and corrective action planning.
Lead customer technical investigations, including in-service failure analysis.
Manage all assigned customer technical queries from planning to completion.
Deliver technical presentations and represent engineering at review meetings.
Oversee and support Field Service Engineers on assigned products.
Provide technical liaison between customers and GE teams in the UK and overseas.
Support the Safety Product Management Team.
Maintain detailed technical knowledge of assigned products.
Build strong relationships with customer-facing, product, and programme teams.
Provide in-field support to customers (UK and international), including modification programmes and technical support visits.
Monitor product performance, identify problem areas, and recommend/implement solutions.
Maintain and approve design and technical documents, including Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and Service Bulletins.
Work towards gaining airworthiness authorizations to approve product changes.
Required Qualifications
Degree (or equivalent experience) in an electronic engineering discipline.
Strong understanding of power product operation.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Experience managing multiple projects while maintaining compliance and attention to detail.

Additional Information
Security clearance: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) is required and must be maintained.
