Job Description

About the Role

The University of Greater Manchester is seeking a Lead for Quality and Compliance (Academic Partnerships) to join our Off-Campus Division. This division manages the University’s UK and international academic partnerships, ensuring that students studying for a UoGM qualification with one of our partner institutions receive the same high-quality educational experience as those studying on campus.

This role is central to supporting the growth and quality assurance of our expanding portfolio of partnerships. You will provide expert leadership in academic oversight, quality monitoring systems, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that collaborative provision meets the University’s standards and the Office for Students’ Conditions of Registration.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee academic quality and compliance processes across partnership programmes.

Monitor and review quality systems to ensure alignment with university and regulatory requirements.

Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partners on collaborative provision and transnational education (TNE).

Support the Division’s operational and strategic growth, contributing to research, initiatives, and staff development.

Represent the University with partner institutions in the UK and overseas.

Support senior leaders in ensuring a consistent, high-quality student experience across all partnerships.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

An experienced academic with significant knowledge of quality assurance and academic oversight in higher education.

Skilled in applying and interpreting UK higher education regulations and the Office for Students’ requirements.

Experienced in managing collaborative provision and/or TNE partnerships.

Highly organised, proactive, digitally literate, and confident in working with diverse teams and stakeholders.

A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships, navigate complexity, and find practical solutions.

Flexible, self-aware, and resilient – with the ability to balance detailed compliance work with broader strategic development.

The role may involve some UK and international travel. Flexibility is essential, as this is not always a 9–5 position. In return, you’ll join a collaborative, supportive team that values professional development, continuous learning, and shared success.

How to Apply

explaining how your skills and experience match the role requirements, and demonstrating your interest in higher education, global themes, and academic quality.

The University of Greater Manchester is committed to equality of opportunity and values diversity across its workforce.
