Job Description

About the Role

Our Stoke Festival Park practice is expanding, and we’re looking for passionate veterinary professionals to join our supportive, experienced team. Whether you’re a new graduate starting your career or an experienced vet looking to mentor and lead, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of our growing practice. With minimal weekends, no out-of-hours, and built-in admin time during your rota, we’re committed to supporting a healthy work-life balance.

If you have a special interest in exotics, this could be the perfect practice for you—our nursing team is keen to expand this area and we are ready to invest in the equipment you need.

About Us

Our practice is led by Craig, who has managed and developed the clinic for over 10 years. You’ll be joining a caring and collaborative team, including:

2 Vets

3 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)

2 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs)

4 Receptionists

We’re based in a convenient retail park location near Stoke city centre, close to the A500 and M6, making commuting easy. The Peak District is nearby for outdoor adventures, while Manchester and Birmingham are just an hour away.

What We Offer

Competitive salary (discussed at interview, dependent on experience).

28 days holiday, rising to 33 after 2 years (inclusive of bank holidays).

No OOH, with minimal weekend work.

Flexible rota to suit full-time or part-time hours.

15-minute consults plus dedicated time for paperwork.

CPD allowance of £1,500 (FTE) plus 5 paid days off annually.

Certificate funding and support available.

Enhanced pension scheme – 6.5% employer, 2.5% employee.

Private healthcare (small contribution).

Paid professional fees (RCVS/BVA).

Career development & partnership opportunities.

Staff discounts: 20% off at Vets4Pets, Pets at Home, and The Groom Room.

Access to our colleague reward hub with retailer discounts.

Who We’re Looking For

A qualified Vet (MRCVS registered or eligible).

Open to new graduates or experienced vets.

Someone who values teamwork, excellent patient care, and bringing new ideas.

Enthusiastic about developing clinical interests (exotics encouraged, but all interests welcome).

Our Commitment to Inclusion

At Vets4Pets, we celebrate diversity and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. If you share our values and passion for animal care, even if you don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you.
