About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Service Desk Officer to join our supportive and professional Finance team. You will be the first point of contact for finance-related enquiries from staff and students, ensuring queries are handled efficiently and effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing a high-quality first-line service via email, phone, and MS Teams.
Supporting staff and students with their financial responsibilities.
Acting as a link between service users and Finance teams to ensure timely resolution of queries.
Collaborating with other University services (e.g., HR, Student Experience) to direct queries appropriately.
Delivering training and inductions to University colleagues where required.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
Experience in customer service or enquiry handling.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
A problem-solving mindset and analytical approach.
A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
About the Finance Division
The Finance Division, led by the Director of Finance, supports the University’s strategic and operational goals. With around 80 staff, we provide high-quality financial and commercial services, manage risks, and ensure the effective use of resources. We work closely with academic and professional colleagues, as well as students, to deliver excellent financial support and build confidence in financial management across the University.
