About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technician Demonstrator in Drama to support staff and students across drama, theatre, and performance programmes.

You will:

Manage and support specialist equipment (filming, audio recording, staging, seating, and lighting).

Oversee drama-related facilities, including the Drama Studio, Green Room, Prop/Furniture Room, Costume Cupboard, and practice spaces.

Deliver technical demonstrations and training, instructing students on specialist equipment, facilities, and software.

Provide day-to-day support and advice to students and staff.

Collaborate with technical colleagues, academics, professional services, and central university teams to meet the strategic goals of the Faculty and University.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Hold a relevant qualification or have equivalent professional/industry experience in drama, theatre, and performance.

Demonstrate skills in managing performance spaces and technologies, particularly lighting/rigging, lighting design, audio, staging, and live performance equipment.

Bring experience in video and audio recording for performance contexts.

Have excellent time management, teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills.

Be reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
