About the Role

The University of Sussex is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to the Director of the Division for the Student Experience. Based in the Director’s Office, you will play a vital role in helping to deliver the University’s strategic and operational priorities for student experience.

You will be responsible for:

Managing complex diaries and coordinating daily activities.

Organising and preparing committee meetings, including documentation and follow-up actions, to a consistently high standard.

Maintaining accurate databases and records.

Supporting the Director by implementing effective systems and processes that ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Working closely with colleagues across the University, including the University Executive Group and Professional Services Directors.

This role requires someone who can anticipate needs, take initiative, and act as a trusted partner to the Director—ensuring their time and focus are directed towards high-impact priorities.

Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Be confident in handling multiple priorities and managing busy schedules.

Work effectively with senior stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and discretion.

Enjoy developing and streamlining systems that improve efficiency.

You will be a key part of the Director’s team, ensuring the office runs smoothly and strategically supports the wider goals of the division.
