About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Study Skills Tutor to provide one-to-one and group academic support for students with specific learning differences (Spades) and/or neurodivergence.

In this role, you will:

Help remove study-related barriers through tailored strategies.

Enable students to develop independent learning skills and reach their full potential.

Contribute to Spelt provision at UCL, including creating resources, running workshops, and supporting the implementation of Department for Education (DfES) requirements.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role in the first instance.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong knowledge of Specific Learning Differences in higher education and how they affect students.

Experience delivering one-to-one tuition and monitoring learning outcomes.

Understanding of co-occurring challenges (e.g. mental health) and familiarity with assistive technologies and specialist software.

The ability to work sensitively with students with a wide range of disabilities, tailoring support to individual needs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong time management and the ability to priorities effectively.
