Assistant Professor (Research Focused) – Battery Sensing and Battery Management Systems (UK sponsorship Available)

About the Role

We are looking for a talented researcher to join Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) as an Assistant Professor (Research Focused).

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in battery cell sensing, battery management system (BMS) development, and characterization. You will be part of an established and successful team, working closely with a leading UK automotive industry partner.

You will be expected to deliver high-quality research, publish findings, and contribute to collaborative projects that push forward innovation in energy storage systems.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

A PhD (or near completion) in a relevant subject.

Strong knowledge of sensor development, wireless communication, and embedded electronics.

Ideally, experience with battery system development and the experimental characterization of battery technologies.

The ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Excellent communication skills and flexibility to engage across diverse research areas.

You should also be able to demonstrate a track record of research or development in one or more of these areas, supported by appropriate academic or industry experience.
