About the Role
We are seeking a Post-doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to join an exciting international project developing correlative soft X-ray tomography (SXT) applications for medical diagnostics.
This role involves working across advanced imaging technologies, including fluorescence and electron microscopy, and supporting biological sample preparation and analysis. You will contribute to:
Cell and tissue culture.
In vitro infection studies.
Cryogenic techniques, including plunge-freezing.
Development of a biopsy-to-imaging pipeline.
Design and testing of new micro-biopsy tools for cryogenic imaging.
Volume analysis of tissue in near-physiological states.
You will also support method development, image processing, and advanced microscopy techniques in collaboration with international research teams.
About You
We are looking for a motivated researcher with:
A PhD in a relevant field.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary, international collaborations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage time and research projects independently.
Skills in developing cell assays, advanced microscopy, cryogenic imaging, image analysis, and volume data processing.
Enthusiasm for developing new technology and research methods is essential.

The Research Technology Platforms (RTP) department provides state-of-the-art facilities and expertise to researchers at Warwick and beyond. This project is run in close collaboration with the School of Life Sciences and Warwick Medical School.
