About the Role
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Lecturer (Teaching) to join our Quality Assurance and Enhancement Team and contribute to the delivery and development of the MBBS programme.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting quality assurance by gathering feedback, engaging with stakeholders, and preparing reports for the University and regulatory bodies
Mentoring students through quality improvement projects, training course representatives, and guiding them through Raising Concerns procedures
Acting as a Personal Tutor and contributing to student support and welfare
Assisting in MBBS course delivery, including admissions, interviews, and outreach activities such as Open Days and Widening Participation events
Engaging in teaching, assessment, e-learning, curriculum innovation, and educational scholarship
Contributing to broader departmental activities including research, postgraduate teaching, public engagement, and consultancy through CIMEC

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A primary medical qualification with full GMC registration
Proven experience in undergraduate teaching and assessment
A strong understanding of pedagogy and commitment to high-quality medical education
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently with a collaborative and student-focused approach
Confidence using digital learning tools and adaptability to new methods
Desirable attributes include:
Experience in quality assurance, educational leadership, or mentoring
A postgraduate qualification in medical education
Research or scholarly activity within medical education
