We’re now seeking a friendly, organized, and proactive Assistant Accommodation Advisor to join our front-line team and help create a positive home environment for our students.
About the Role
As an Assistant Accommodation Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors, delivering a professional and welcoming reception service. Your responsibilities will include:
Handling enquiries and resolving student issues promptly
Supporting check-ins, check-outs, inspections, and accommodation events
Managing bookings and payments using the Star Rez system
Reporting and tracking maintenance requests
Liaising with contractors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations
Assisting with the coordination of student social events
This is a varied and people-focused role, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference to the student experience at UCL.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
Experience in a customer-facing role (hospitality, accommodation, or retail experience is an advantage)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Excellent organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in using administrative systems
A positive, flexible approach with a genuine commitment to outstanding customer service
Willingness to work on a rota basis, including some evenings and weekends
