About the Role
This role sits within the CAR T-cell manufacturing team at the Centre for Cell, Gene and Tissue Therapeutics. The team focuses on the manipulation of T-cells for therapeutic applications, forming part of Europe’s most comprehensive CAR T-cell programme.
The potholder will:
Support the delivery of cell therapy products
Carry out quality control of cell therapeutic products
Contribute to process development for new clinical trials
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a leading academic environment at the forefront of CAR-T cell research, contributing to advancements in cancer therapy.

About You
Essential requirements:
BSc in a relevant subject (Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or related field)
Knowledge of flow cytometry, aseptic techniques, and cell culture
Understanding of T-cell/CAR T-cell biology
Desirable but not essential:
Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field
Practical experience with flow cytometry and immunological assays (e.g. cytotoxicity assays, ELISA, Cytokine Bead Arrays)
Personal attributes:
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team
Adaptable and motivated in a fast-paced research environment
This is an entry-level role with training provided. Strong performance may lead to progression into a full technician post within a year.
