Job Description
About the Role
As Digital Development & Systems Analyst, you will work alongside the Digital Development Librarian to support the Library’s core digital systems. This includes tasks such as system configuration, user administration, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
You will be the first point of contact for operational support across multiple platforms, including the:
Library Management System
Discovery System
Entry Management System
The role involves building strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, problem-solving, and system innovation.
You will also:
Analyze system performance and provide actionable recommendations for optimisation.
Produce regular reports and statistics to inform operational planning.
Support colleagues in collecting and interpreting data for organizational needs.
Help organize and deliver training in library systems.
About You
You are a motivated problem-solver with strong IT skills and an interest in learning complex systems. You can work confidently with large and complex datasets to support decision-making.
Essential qualities include:
Ability to troubleshoot and investigate a range of system queries.
Strong analytical and data-handling skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-specialist audiences.
A collaborative approach and commitment to building effective working relationships.
Experience with library systems is beneficial but not essential — enthusiasm to learn and grow into the role is highly valued.
