About the Role

We are seeking a Research Fellow to join an MRC-funded transdisciplinary hub dedicated to decarbonizing healthcare commissioning and delivery. Your work will focus on Sub-theme 3a: Safe Reuse of Medical Products (Infection Prevention & Control).

The research aims to identify and evaluate sustainable innovations in infection prevention and control (IPC) that lower carbon emissions while ensuring patient safety and maintaining healthcare standards.

You will be part of a collaborative team led by Professor Mahmood Bhatta, Dr James Price, Jenni Wilburn (BSMS), and Professor Jennie Wilson (UWL). Throughout the project, you will receive strong academic support and opportunities to contribute to impactful research.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

A PhD (or near completion) in infection prevention and control, healthcare research, or a closely related field.

Research experience relevant to IPC in healthcare settings.

The ability to work independently and manage your own workload, while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
