About the Role

The University of Reading is looking for a talented and motivated School Marketing Officer to join our Marketing & Campaigns team within External Relations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the University’s growth and reputation, especially as we celebrate our Centenary Year in 2026.

You will support the Marketing & Engagement Business Partners in delivering marketing activities for designated academic Schools and Departments. Your work will play a vital role in student recruitment (undergraduate and postgraduate), helping to maintain high standards across traditional and digital media channels, and ensuring all activity aligns with the University’s brand strategy.

About You

We are seeking a candidate who can bring creativity, professionalism, and strong marketing expertise. You should have:

A good Honours degree, CIM qualification, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience developing and delivering marketing strategies and communication plans.

Strong knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing channels.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong command of English and grammar.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships and challenge constructively.

Experience working in higher education (HE) or within a complex organization.
