The College of Science and Engineering drives innovation in STEM – from digitization to decarbonization – with world-class research, facilities, and partnerships. Our School of Engineering and Built Environment offers cutting-edge apprenticeships across civil, aerospace, nuclear, manufacturing, and materials science, in collaboration with leading employers such as Rolls-Royce, JCB, Alstom, and Parker Meggitt.
About the Role
We are seeking a Degree Apprenticeship Workplace Reviewer in Engineering to support apprentices, employers, and academic teams in delivering high-quality programes.
You will:
Conduct tripartite reviews between apprentices, employers, and the University.
Support apprentices in integrating academic and professional learning, preparing them for End Point Assessments (EPA).
Act as a personal academic tutor, providing guidance, mentoring, and pastoral care.
Ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards, funding requirements, and audit processes.
Collaborate with employers, the Apprenticeship Hub, and academic staff to enhance learner success and experience.
This role involves both campus-based and employer-site work (mainly Midlands and North UK) with flexibility to work remotely in line with our Adaptive Working Framework.
About You
You will have:
A degree in Engineering (or related discipline).
Relevant industry experience in engineering, with broad knowledge across areas such as manufacturing, CAD, materials, nuclear operations, and industrial systems.
Experience working with apprentices, employers, and degree-level apprenticeship programes.
Strong communication, organization, and mentoring skills.
Ability to manage compliance, reporting, and administrative requirements to a high standard.
Desirable:
MSc/MEng or professional registration (IEng/CEng).
Experience in higher education or supervising apprentices.
