The Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused HR Assistant to join our People Development team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources while completing a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship delivered by HIT Training over 18 months.
As HR Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers, supporting the smooth delivery of People Development services. The role involves maintaining HR systems, coordinating training activities, and providing administrative support, while building your knowledge of HR through both on-the-job experience and structured learning.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for People Development enquiries.
Support the maintenance of the University’s eLearning system and produce reports.
Assist with the booking and organization of internal training courses.
Provide excellent administrative support to the People Development team.
Shadow and learn from colleagues across HR to gain a broad understanding of the function.
Apply your apprenticeship learning in real workplace situations and contribute to team improvement.

Duration: 18 months
Training Provider: HIT Training
Support: You will be mentored by the People Development team, who will help you gain the skills, knowledge, and experience required for your portfolio and future career development.
Eligibility for Apprenticeship
To apply, you must:
Be aged 16 or over.
Not already be in full-time education.
Live in England.
