About the Role
The Placements and International Programmes Office (PIP) is responsible for managing and supporting all off-campus student activities, including UK and international placements, study abroad and exchange programmes, and fieldwork opportunities. PIP also welcomes and supports all incoming international and exchange students.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team during a time of expansion, as the University aims to grow its global mobility and placement opportunities.
As a Placements and International Programmes Assistant, you will play a vital administrative role in supporting student mobility initiatives. You’ll help maintain accurate student records, coordinate placement funding, and contribute to promotional activities for global programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update student placement and mobility records
Support the administration and dissemination of placement funding to students
Assist in promoting study abroad and work placement opportunities
Provide professional and culturally sensitive communication with students and international partners
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth delivery of off-campus programmes
Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re looking for an organized and enthusiastic team player who:
Has experience working in an administrative role within a customer-facing environment
Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Communicates effectively in both written and verbal formats, including across cultural or language barriers
Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced team setting
Understands the personal and professional benefits of studying, working, or volunteering abroad
May have prior experience studying or working overseas (desirable but not essential)
