About the Role

The Faculty of Engineering is looking for a highly organized and proactive Events Officer to deliver a programme of impactful events across three key departments:

UCL Chemical Engineering

UCL Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (CEGE)

UCL Security and Crime Science (SCS)

In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing and Communications team and departmental staff to:

Plan and deliver a wide range of in-person and virtual events

Manage event logistics, including registrations, suppliers, budgets, and communications

Develop and execute pre- and post-event engagement strategies

Ensure each event meets its objectives and delivers a high-quality experience for attendees

Monitor and evaluate performance using KPIs and data insights for continuous improvement

About You

We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate:

Proven experience planning and delivering both physical and virtual events

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders

Strong team ethic and the confidence to work independently when required

Experience using data to evaluate success and shape future activity
