Join Our Forward-Thinking Radiography Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated General Radiographers to join our supportive and forward-looking imaging team at NHS Dumfries & Galloway. You will contribute to the delivery of our 24/7 imaging service, supporting high standards of patient care across our Dumfries and Stranraer sites.
Whether you are an experienced practitioner or newly qualified and due to receive your UK HCPC registration within the next 6 months, we welcome your application.
About the Role
As a General Radiographer, you will:
Deliver high-quality imaging services as part of a 24/7 rota
Work across our Dumfries and Stranraer departments (based on availability)
Participate in extended hours and weekend service models
Be part of an on-call rota (if applicable)
Contribute to staff training and service development
Our Imaging Facilities
Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI): Modern hospital opened in 2017, equipped with state-of-the-art digital radiography (DR), CT, MRI, and PACS
Stranraer: Recently upgraded with digital radiography and CT systems, mirroring DGRI’s tech setup
Digital Infrastructure: Fully integrated with Scotland’s national PACS network and equipped for remote reporting
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who:
Are HCPC-registered Radiographers (or students due to register within 6 months)
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Are motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or within a team
Preferably have experience in general radiography (additional modality experience is advantageous)
Can demonstrate sound knowledge of clinical guidelines and radiographic safety standards
