About the Role
The Brighton and Sussex Clinical Trials Unit (BSCTU) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager to join its data team and support a diverse portfolio of clinical research studies.
As a Data Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and quality of clinical trial data. You’ll be responsible for:
Reviewing data and resolving discrepancies to ensure consistency and compliance
Developing Case Report Forms (CRFs) and Data Management Plans (DMPs)
Building and managing clinical trial databases
Implementing data validation procedures and quality control measures
Ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
You will receive full training for study-specific systems and processes.
The role sits within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team in a UKCRC-registered Clinical Trials Unit, supporting a wide range of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs) across various therapeutic areas. About You
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You should have:
Essential:
A university degree or equivalent professional experience
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A flexible, positive attitude and a methodical approach to work
The ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing workloads
Competency using IT systems for data entry, tracking, and reporting
Desirable:
Previous experience working in clinical trials, healthcare, or research data management
Familiarity with data regulations, GCP, or related guidelines
