Job Summary
Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Facilities Team at Wonford House in Exeter. This role involves carrying out both cleaning and catering tasks in accordance with national standards, trust policies, and relevant legislation.

Main Responsibilities
Perform general and specialist cleaning duties in line with departmental schedules and infection control guidelines.
Carry out occasional light portering tasks.
Use and check equipment safely, displaying warning signage per Health & Safety regulations.
Follow trust procedures for safe waste segregation and disposal.
Assist in food regeneration, preparation of beverages, and meal service duties.
Deliver and collect linen across wards; support laundry-related tasks.
Complete all required departmental and trust documentation.
Support routine health, safety, hygiene, and audit checks.
Maintain compliance with food hygiene laws and trust policies; report faults or issues to supervisors.
Attend all relevant training sessions and courses related to the role.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential:
QCF Level 2 (or equivalent) in Hospitality, Cleaning, or Support Services (or willingness to work toward it)
Basic IT skills
Desirable:
Level 1 or 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Experience
Essential:
Ability to work effectively within a team
Able to manage unpredictable or changing environments
Desirable:
Experience in cleaning services
Experience in catering/food service
Skills & Knowledge
Essential:
Good communication (oral, written, electronic)
Basic judgement and ability to follow procedures
Moderate physical ability to perform tasks
Understanding of food service practices (through training)
Desirable:
Knowledge of hospital cleaning methods and food safety
Ability to plan daily tasks independently
