About the Role
Bolden School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year Lead to join our pastoral team in a non-teaching capacity. The role will focus on supporting students’ wellbeing, behavior, and progress across a specific year group.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience working with young people, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and respond effectively to a variety of pastoral situations.

Key Responsibilities
Provide pastoral care and behavioral support to students within a year group
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Work closely with teaching and support staff to improve student attendance, engagement, and achievement
Support students with emotional, behavioral, and social challenges
Act as the main point of contact for parents and carers regarding pastoral matters
Promote a positive school environment and uphold school values
Person Specification
Essential:
Experience working with young people (education, youth work, or similar)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage challenging behavior calmly and effectively
Organized and proactive with good time management
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Desirable:
Previous pastoral experience in a school setting
Relevant qualifications in youth work, counselling, or child development
