Job Overview
Norwich School is seeking a qualified, dynamic, and engaging teacher to join its Lower School team on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE) to cover a period of maternity leave. The position will commence in November 2025 and is offered on a fixed-term basis. A competitive salary is available for the right candidate.
Located in the Lower Close, on the east side of Norwich Cathedral, the Lower School offers a welcoming and well-resourced environment that supports pupils’ academic and personal development in the early years of their school life.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed educator, ready to contribute fully to both teaching and the wider life of the school community.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to Lower School pupils
Support and inspire pupils to reach their full potential academically and personally
Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons and support curriculum development
Engage in wider school life, including events and extracurricular activities
Candidate Requirements
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching at the primary or Lower School level
A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Enthusiasm for teaching and ability to foster a supportive learning environment
A team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
