About the Role

Bolton School Nursery is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join its Senior Leadership Team on a permanent, full-time basis. This key role has become available due to an internal restructure, offering a rare opportunity to join the management team of a highly regarded early years setting.

As one of three senior leaders, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the Nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0 to 5. Our 84-place nursery provides high-quality, flexible childcare from 7:00am to 6:00pm, 51 weeks of the year.

We are looking for a motivated and qualified individual who can inspire a team, maintain compliance with Ousted and EYFS standards, and uphold our nurturing, child-centered ethos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for all children

  • Lead and supervise nursery staff, supporting professional development and maintaining high standards

  • Contribute to strategic planning and ensure effective daily operations

  • Promote strong relationships with parents, careers, and staff

  • Support ongoing inspection readiness and maintain compliance with all safeguarding and health & safety regulations

  • Work collaboratively as part of a strong, experienced leadership team

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • A relevant Level 5 (or above) qualification in Early Years / Childcare

  • Early Years Professional Status (EYP) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYT)

  • Significant experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an early years setting

  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and health and safety regulations

  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
