IT Desktop Support Team Leader

About the Role
This exciting and challenging opportunity is ideal for a highly motivated individual to join the IT Services Desktop Support Team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
In this role, you will lead, supervise, and allocate work to a team of specialist IT technicians. You will ensure a high-quality IT support service is delivered to all users of Trust systems, in line with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements. From time to time, you will also deputise for the IT Support Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of the Desktop Support Team, including work allocation and performance monitoring.
- Support the planning and delivery of major IT project implementations.
- Maintain high standards of IT support services, ensuring compliance with IT security, data protection, and information governance requirements.
- Occasionally deputise for the IT Support Manager as required.
- Be prepared to work outside normal hours to complete critical tasks or system upgrades.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
