If so, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH) invites you to explore this fantastic opportunity to join our friendly and progressive Breast Imaging Team as a Specialist Mammographer.
About the Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, qualified radiographer with:
- DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
- Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography
As this is an intimate care role involving female patients, this post is only open to female applicants, in accordance with Section 7(2)(b) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.
Where You’ll Work
You will join a well-established breast team delivering high-quality imaging services across three modern and well-equipped sites:
- Jasmine Unit, Doncaster Royal Infirmary: Offers Fast Track, Assessment, and Surveillance/Family History Clinics. Recently upgraded to the Siemens MAMMOMAT Revelation with 50° HD Breast Tomosynthesis.
- Princess Diana Unit, Bassetlaw Hospital, Worksop: Delivers a full range of diagnostic and screening services using both the Siemens Inspiration with PRIME and MAMMOMAT Revelation.
- Devonshire House, Doncaster: A dedicated static screening unit near the train station, currently operating daily screening clinics from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team embracing the 4-tier model, including Assistant Practitioners, Mammographers, and Advanced Practitioners who contribute to:
- Image interpretation
- Breast ultrasound
- Interventional procedures
